Have you received spam from a ‘user’ from this domain? This domain is undergoing a Joe Jobs attack, i.e., spam is being sent around the world using sender addresses of non-existent accounts, e.g., john_smith123@acastano.com, McBride3746@acastano.com, etc. My email server already indicates what servers are authorized to send mail from this domain, but many servers do not use this information to verify the authenticity of the emails they receive; also, I routinely report the bounced spam that I get to spamcop.net. Still, I am sorry for the spam that you have received; I have no interest in getting you in contact with a Russian bride or giving you a hot-stock tip. Unfortunately I have no more control over someone writing a spam email and sending it as if it was from an account in my domain than I have over you writing a paper spam letter and writing on the envelope the White House address as the sender.

Andres Castano, with Danny and Bella in 2012

I am an Electrical Engineer with a background in robotics (manipulators, reconfigurable, and military and planetary rovers) and computer vision (object detection, recognition and identification). My last position was in the Robotics section at NASA / JPL, Caltech. I’ve worked in a variety of research projects under sponsorship of DARPA, military branches and, of course, for NASA, for which I wrote, among others, the Dust devil and Cloud detectors for the Mars Exploration Rovers, Spirit and Opportunity, and the Mars Science Laboratory rover, Curiosity.Presently I am taking some years off while my children grow up. My wife Becky and I have three children: Sofi, now 5, and twins Danny and Bella, age 4, all adopted. Cosita, our Shih-Tzu, rounds up the family.
